Basic tools:
- Web Browser (aka client): Firefox
- Debug: console (Firefox) and Firebug
- Create document: any plain text editor (TextEdit, TextWrangler, BlueJ, Eclipse, vi, emacs, joe, ...)
- Publish (sftp, Fugu, Mozilla, Fetch)
- Basic html tags:
html, head, body, title, h1, h2, hn, table, a, ol, ul, li, br, hr, img, ...
In Lab assignments
- Do not demo this:
(1)create your people.emich.edu Web site, (2)create a simple html document, (3)publish the document to
people.emich.edu/yourAccount/page1.html
- Demo the following at the next lab (September 7, 2011)
Create a static html document that is a pictorial trace of the child's alphabet game: My grandmother packed my suitcase.
Add an appropriate picture to the list of items in the suitcase. 'Trace' from 1 to 10 items. Additional text is optional.
