
iCompute is an event for 4th and 5th graders in the Washtenaw Elementary Science Olympiad (WESO).
In this event, participants are tested on the following:
- Computing basics - knowledge of basic computer concepts, including hardware and software
- Theoretical computing - understanding of how computers solve problems
- Practical computing - ability to create a simple program using a graphical interface

- After four successful years of Bits & Bytes Summer Computing Camp for Middle School Girls at EMU, we are offering it again this year in two different delivery formats, in-person and virtual. The week-long virtual camp (9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday) is free of cost and the in-person one is only $25. The camps will take place on July 11-15 (in-person) and July 25-29 (virtual). - Tuesday, Feb 10th, 7:00-9:00 pm - room 521, Pray-Harrold, EMU
One coach per school. A second coach may come but may have to share a computer. Each workshop can accommodate 25 coaches. The labs are on the 5th floor, elevators are in the center of the building. Search for Pray-Harrold on this interactive map . Parking is available in the Alexander guest lot ($1/hr) or any of the metered spaces around the building.
