Using the table on a TI-92

  1. Enter a function as before, whose values you would like to see (start by pressing the green diamond button, then the F2 button (see the green stuff above it!)
  2. Now press the green diamond button, then the F4 button (so we're getting 'TBLSET', which is short for Table set-up).
  3. Enter a value in tblStart; this will give you the first x-value in the table. (Let's put in a 5).
  4. Use the down arrow to move you down to the next line. Notice that it has a funny triangle symbol in it. That triangle is a delta, which in math stands for difference. For us, here, it means how much you want each x-value to differ from the next one. (So that entering a 10 here will make the second value 15, the next value 25, etc.)
  5. Move down to the next line; we want the item next to TABLE to say 'ON'. If it doesn't, move the arrow to the right (which opens up a menu with both 'OFF' and 'ON'), slide down to 'ON', and press 'ENTER'.
  6. Make sure that the item marked 'AUTO' is chosen in the bottom row.
  7. Now press the green diamond button one last time, then the F5  button (which accesses the green 'TABLE' above it!)
