(1) Inlab: Beauty contest:

Make two different plots for the curve

f(t) = sin(2*t) .* cos(2*t)
where t goes from 0 to 2*pi


Make two different plots for the *surface*

f(x, y)  = x .* exp(-x .^ 2 - y .^ 2);

Comparing against all plots of same curve:
  Vote for "prettiest"
  Vote for "most informative"

(2) Homework:  Write this down together with screen shot of plot (s) 
and hand to Eddie.
For each curve,  using the visual support of one or both plots, 
make an observation about the curve: e.g,
  bounded? asymptotic?
  differentiable everywhere? continuous?
  symmetry?  (even? odd? etc)
  optimum values? (optima)
  local optimum vs global optimum?
